The Silver Mummy (2004)

Judy has had recurring nightmares about being chloroformed, duct taped, and eventually killed. Unable to sleep in her own apartment, Judy asks her ex-boyfriend, Bob, and his current girlfriend, Cynthia, if she can stay with them. They agree, but the jealous girlfriend has her own ideas. She plans on making Judy's nightmares become all too real!

Take some of the footage from the lousy "The Duct Tape Killer", add Misty Mundae to the mix, stir and you get "The Silver Mummy", an equally pointless amateur video. Tag line to the earlier feature fits here too: "It's a real crime that these tapes were ever produced!'.

After the prologue of old footage, the premise is jealousy, with Cynthia (Misty) angry that her former friend Judy (Tina Krause) shows up to stay with her, on the pretext that she's frightened from recent nightmares -the content of "The Duct Tape Killer".

Since Misty is living with Tina's ex, director William ("Bill") Hellfire, she's afraid the old girl is horning in on her old man. Extremely poorly improvised dialog, making the trio seem even less talented than 2 decades of junk like this has proved them to be, contrives a sit-com situation where Misty finds fully nude Tina in Bill's arms and jumps to the wrong conclusion.

So instead of Bill, short-haired instead of shoulder-length this time around, we have Misty as the BDSM nut, abusing Tina and trussing her up to a bondage installation (reminiscent of crucifixion) and then methodically covering her with duct tape, thereby turning her into a silver mummy. Visually it yields a striking shot, but the rest of the video is utterly worthless, whether for bondage fans or horror buffs.

Promise of a turnabout, in a later video where Tina abuses Misty, shows the mindset of Hellfire and his Factory 2000 clan, who cranked this junker out in 1999. Tens of thousands of amateur horror videos have been shot regionally since, often getting distribution, but I have yet to see one that was worth public dissemination.
